Close to the Riverside’s central business district is Flabob, a small private airport. The unusual name is derived from the first names of Flavio Madariaga and Bob Bogan. The airport is home to a number of restoration projects including The Flabob Express, an operational Douglas D3.
But perhaps the most exciting project is the scale reproduction of the Wright Brothers’ Wright Flyer. For more information on the project click here.
The hanger containing the replica Wright Flyer also hosts an impressive collection of 800 model aircraft.
In another hanger there is a replica of Rider R-4.
